A Packed August for Mersea!

Well August is finally upon us, and the island is preparing to host some of the island's biggest and most popular events.

Here at Mersea-island.com we're on the hot foot, keeping track of what's going on and letting all you lovely users know about the goings on.

So where should you attention be drawn this month? Well here's some key events coming up...

Mersea Carnival
15th August 2009
A busy and popular event held every year in aid of charity, see local groups and businesses come together to build floats, dance, sing and sizzle in the sun! Starts at Victoria Esplanade and runs to the Legion Field on Barfield Road.

Round the Island Race
19th August 2009
Come and see the boats racing around the island, then help them be carried over The Strood as quickly as possible! A great experience for anyone coming to Mersea - just bring your wellies!

Mersea Regatta
Saturday 22nd August 2009

The BIG Mersea Reunion
Sunday 23rd August 2009
Hosted by Mersea-island.com, the reunion is the biggest event of it's kind in the area, drawing in over 200 people from Mersea and surrounding areas. Come along to catch up with old classmates and friends. See more information by clicking here.
