Mersea has a privately-run ferry to Brightlingsea and Point Clear which launches from East Mersea and takes approximately twenty minutes to travel.

The service runs between April and October each year and is for passengers, dogs, bicyles and pushchairs. Call the office on 01206 302200 or 07991 450169.

A small marina is in West Mersea, but space is limited so speaking to the local authorities ahead of arriving is suggested.

View the Tide Tables for a gauge of water levels.
