The Mersea Island Carnival will be running throughout the day, with the processing starting around midday and going to the Legion field in Barfield Road.

Mersea Cadet Week is one of the country's largest youth sailing regatta, organised by a combined Dabchicks Sailing Club and West Mersea Yacht Club team and run during the first full week of the summer school holidays each year.

On Sunday 3rd August Causeway will be hosting another quiz night at the Victory Pub on Mersea. It's an 'Open the Box' rollover as the winning team last time chose the wrong box. As before, if the right box is chosen then the winning team can donate at least 10% of the winnings to a charity of their choice.

There will also be a BBQ which will start at 6pm, with the quiz starting about 7.30pm. Bring your own meat to cook, and we'll cook it for you on the BBQ!

Quiz is ﾣ1 per player. Everyone is welcome.

This year's reunion will be welcoming everyone from last year, along with anyone else who wants to catch up with old school and work friends from Mersea and the surrounding areas (including Monkwick).
